eight year old 800 speed film is gross. as is my cat. she keeps throwing up on the carpet. and i have to clean it up.

I've chosen to fast.

I think I'll spare this photo the bogus text I usually put down here.

"I, I, I, I, I."

the silence is tangible.

I got the Pentax 645 in the mail today. Already shot one roll of black&white 120 film, and I only have 6 shots left on the second roll. This camera does strange things to me. It's forcing me to shoot differently. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but I'm excited to find out.

Gonna try and finish off the rest of the second roll when I wake up tomorrow so I can drop them both off to get developed.

wooden monet diy camera

Sooooo, I'm finally doing this. Here is that one camera I made.

Front and back. Simple as that.

But yeah, it's made out of maple. Really simple construction. The shutter is a piece of wood that you can take out to unblock the light, or put it in to block the light. There is also a simple gear thing to make the film only turn one way. It takes 120 film, has a red window for checking the frame. Also it has a screw on front aperture disc thing.

Here is an image of the inside and it in the act of taking a picture.

Yup. That's it. I posted some of the pictures that I took with it a couple posts back. So yeah. Camera.
